Privacy Policy

Effective Date: March 1, 2026

This Privacy Policy (the “Policy”) describes how Simple Tax Solutions (“Simple Tax Solutions,” the “Company,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) collects, uses, discloses, retains, and safeguards personal information when you visit our website located at simpletaxsolutions.com (the “Site”), contact us by telephone, text message, or email, or engage us for tax consultation and tax resolution services (collectively, the “Services”).

By accessing the Site or using the Services, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Policy. If you do not agree with this Policy, please do not use the Site or the Services.

This Policy does not apply to information collected by third parties, including through any third-party website or service that may link to or be accessible from the Site.

  • Government-issued identifiers, such as your Social Security number or Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN), where required to evaluate or resolve your tax matter;

  • Tax information, including tax returns, tax transcripts, IRS or state tax agency notices, balances owed, filing history, and related records;

  • Payment and billing information, such as payment card details, bank account and routing numbers, and billing address, which are processed through our third-party payment processors;

  • Communications, including the contents of emails, text messages, chat messages, and, where permitted by law and with any required notice or consent, recordings of telephone calls for quality assurance, training, and compliance purposes.

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

When you visit the Site, we and our service providers may automatically collect certain technical information, including:

  • IP address and approximate geographic location derived from it;

  • Browser type and version, operating system, and device type and identifiers;

  • Pages viewed, links clicked, referring URLs, access dates and times, and other Site interaction data;

  • Information collected through cookies, pixels, and similar technologies, as described in Section 6 below.

1.3 Information from Other Sources

We may receive personal information about you from other sources, including marketing and advertising partners, lead generation providers from whom you requested information about tax relief services, comparison and review websites, publicly available records, and government agencies (including the Internal Revenue Service and state tax authorities) in connection with your authorized representation.

2. How We Use Personal Information

We use personal information for the following business and commercial purposes:

  • To provide the Services, including evaluating your tax situation, determining your potential eligibility for tax relief programs, preparing and filing tax returns, and representing you before the IRS or state tax authorities pursuant to your authorization;

  • To communicate with you regarding your inquiry, consultation, case status, appointments, and the Services, by telephone, text message, email, or mail;

  • To process payments, establish and administer payment plans, and manage billing and collections;

  • To send you information about services, programs, or offers that may be of interest to you, where permitted by law and subject to your right to opt out;

  • To operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Site and the Services, including analytics, troubleshooting, and product development;

  • To verify your identity and protect against fraud, unauthorized transactions, and other unlawful activity;

  • To comply with applicable federal and state laws, regulations, professional obligations, court orders, and lawful requests from government authorities; and

  • To establish, exercise, or defend legal claims and to enforce our agreements.

We will not use personal information for purposes that are materially incompatible with the purposes described above without providing you notice or obtaining any consent required by applicable law.

3. Telephone Calls and Text Messages

By providing your telephone number to us — including by submitting a form on the Site or through a partner website — you consent to receive calls and text messages from Simple Tax Solutions regarding your inquiry and the Services, which may include calls or texts placed using automated technology or prerecorded messages where permitted by law.

Consent to receive marketing calls or texts is not a condition of purchasing any services.

Message and data rates may apply. You may opt out of text messages at any time by replying “STOP” and may obtain assistance by replying “HELP.”

You may opt out of marketing calls by informing our representative or by contacting us using the information in Section 14. We honor the National Do Not Call Registry and maintain an internal do-not-call list as required by law.

Mobile opt-in data and text messaging consent are not shared with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

4. How We Disclose Personal Information

We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not share personal information with third parties for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are defined under applicable law.

We disclose personal information only as described below:

  • Authorized personnel and contractors. Employees, case managers, enrolled agents, certified public accountants, attorneys, and independent contractors who assist with your case, each of whom is subject to confidentiality obligations;

  • Service providers. Vendors that perform services on our behalf, such as payment processors, financial institutions, customer relationship management and case management software providers, telephone and text messaging platforms, website hosting and analytics providers, and document management services, in each case under contractual obligations to protect your information and use it only to provide services to us;

  • Government agencies. The Internal Revenue Service, state tax authorities, and other government agencies as necessary to provide tax representation you have authorized, or where disclosure is required by law;

  • Legal and safety. Courts, regulators, law enforcement, or other parties where we believe in good faith that disclosure is required by law, subpoena, or legal process, or is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of the Company, our clients, or others;

  • Business transfers. A successor entity or prospective purchaser in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of all or a portion of our business, subject to customary confidentiality protections; and

  • With your direction or consent. Any other party when you direct us to do so or otherwise consent to the disclosure.

All parties receiving personal information from us are required to maintain confidentiality and security safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information.

5. Confidentiality of Tax Return Information

Federal law, including Sections 7216 and 6713 of the Internal Revenue Code and the regulations thereunder, restricts the use and disclosure of tax return information by tax return preparers.

Where those provisions apply, we use and disclose your tax return information only as permitted by law or with your written consent.

In addition, financial information we collect in connection with the Services is handled consistent with applicable federal privacy requirements governing nonpublic personal information.

6. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

The Site uses cookies, pixels, and similar technologies to operate the Site, remember your preferences, measure the performance of our advertising, and analyze Site traffic.

These technologies may be operated by us or by third-party analytics and advertising providers.

Most browsers allow you to refuse or delete cookies through your browser settings. If you disable cookies, some features of the Site may not function properly.

Because there is no industry standard for recognizing “Do Not Track” browser signals, the Site does not currently respond to them; however, we will honor opt-out preference signals, such as the Global Privacy Control, where required by applicable law.

7. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, including to provide the Services, comply with legal, tax, accounting, and professional record-keeping obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

Retention periods vary based on the type of information and applicable legal requirements; for example, tax records are retained for the periods required or recommended under federal and state law.

When personal information is no longer required, we securely delete, de-identify, or destroy it.

8. Data Security

We maintain reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction, including access controls, encryption of data in transit, employee confidentiality obligations, and vendor due diligence.

However, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of any credentials you use to access the Services, and you should notify us immediately at the contact information below if you suspect any unauthorized access to your information.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under thirteen (13).

If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it as required by law.

We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of third-party websites, and this Policy does not apply to them.

We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party website you visit.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technologies, or legal requirements.

The updated Policy will be posted on this page with a revised effective date, and material changes will be communicated as required by applicable law.

Your continued use of the Site or the Services after the effective date of an updated Policy constitutes your acknowledgment of the updated Policy.
